Checklist
1.Triathlon
Triathlon involves the timing of race
splits for swim, bike and run. The RFID Race Timing System
has been developed specifically for triathlons and the antenna
mats are well suited to the low density of athletes passing
single file through the transition area.
As an added safeguard, we recommend
two separate units at each transition point. The second
unit will act as a backup. The Palm timing files from each
unit are then combined to absolutely guarantee every athlete
is timed at each transition point. This can often be achieved
by moving the units to different transition locations during
the event.
2. Running
Many running clubs conduct events
that have less than 1000 competitors yet face the nightmare
of recording race times using manual, or semi-manual timing
programs. The RFID Race Timing System has been designed
for these smaller races which cannot afford the cost of
implementing a larger timing systems.
3. 12 - 24
Hour Endurance Events
The RFID Race Timing system is ideally
suited to 12 - 24 hour endurance events. The system has
been used in various 24 hour events where teams complete
a lap of a predetermined circuit. The RFID Race Timing ability
to record the laps covered and the time of the laps has
proved invaluable. The system has been used in the Cancer
Society's 24 hour event Relay
for Life
4. Other Sports
There are unlimited possibilities
for using the RFID Race Timing System for timing your event.
Possible events include multi sport events, mountain bike
races, marathon paddle races and skiing events.
